Yesterday I had to visit somewhere and it was raining so I did not want to drive there since I was not too familiar with the road, so I parked my car somewhere close and used a keke (local tricycle).

While I was there I got a call from a long time friend reminding me of my promise to her husband over a job, so I quickly told her my location, and asked her to tell her husband to meet me up ASAP since I will be leaving town soon, but I told her to tell her husband to meet me up where I packed my car since that place was a popular land mark .

I don’t know her husband and we have never met before. As I sent her the address, she called me back and was so excited that I was even around her area which will make it easy for him because he did not even have transport to come out,things was that bad. So I told her that he should pick a drop and I will pay.

In other not to keep him stranded I had to start rushing back to where I packed my car. God, I even entered under the rain, cold, just to meet up with him so he will not be stranded. As I was walking under the rain I saw a keke and stopped it. The keke man asked me to beg the man inside, so I started begging. The man refused and said I was wet. I told him I will sit one side, and he refused, saying except I pay for both his fare and mine.

I agreed, then he allowed me. As I entered this man kept me uncomfortable, saying if my wet clothes touch him again I will get down. I just kept my cool until I finally got to my destination. I did not even reach until I stopped at the junction and paid then used my legs to walk to my car, since it was very close.

I was inside my car warming myself, then I got a call from my friend saying her husband was around, so I described my car and he came. I saw someone knocked on my car glass, wound down and it was

A lecturer wanting 5 rounds to pass a female student. A policeman demanding 500k for bail. A judge demanding 5m for judgement. A public servant demanding 50m for a contract. A society that justifies all things in the name of politics, tribe, ethnicity and individual benefit. A society that blackmails others for difference in thinking.

A Nation that we have all collectively built. One working towards oppressing the other. Where impunity is rife. Where our default thinking is on wailing or hailing never a consideration of the issue.

*A society with low or no expectations from their leaders.*  A society in conflict with itself.

*A society where thought is absent*. That all issues are swept under the carpet depending on who holds the broom and where all things can be covered depending on where the umbrella tilts.

 A society where seemingly educated men run away from speaking out in the face of evil so that they will be seen as saints .

A society where evil doers are glorified by men who pretend to be gentlemen.

A society  where men have no regards to the legacy they will leave behind.

The Misconception

Listen, it is true that as believers the goal of every godly relationship is a happy marriage. That is our focus. That is the reason why we start a relationship when we feel we are ready to work through one. That is why we are trying so hard to check for comparability, to fit into each other's lives. Marriage is, and remains the long term plan. But hey, not all relationships are meant to end up there, no matter how good it is. This might be kinda hard for you to understand i know, but I think it is time you learn to accept this truth.
Many times God plants people in our life to be our "HELP KEEP" for a season. That is, an HELP to KEEP us going strong through some challenging periods of our life, not for a lifetime.

Recently, I was shocked to learn from God that I had pride in my heart that I needed to get rid of. I say I was shocked because I always thought of pride as something that other people had issues with, and that these people were kind of dumb for ever puffing themselves up in such a way. I had also very recently written a message about humility because God showed me some things about what it really meant to be humble. I guess it hadn't entirely sunk in.

I also learned that pride is a sneaky kind of sin (well, most sin is sneaky.) that hides in your heart until you're so desperately miserable that you can't help but come crashing down at the feet of God, begging to be led out of whatever mess it is that you've landed yourself in. So that's why I was shocked. I was miserable and crying out to God for deliverance, when God said, "You have pride in your heart."

I said, "What? God, I think I heard You wrong."

Then, one night when I was telling my wife about how rough things were going at work and how mad I was about something, and she said, "Sounds like pride, Jonny." Well, I didn't like that one bit. And then finally, things really blew up and I just had to surrender.

You are a spirit who possess a soul and lives in a body. These words have been etched into my memory from a tender age, with almost a thousand reasons why we are a Spirit but I couldn't feel the proof in my emotions until now.

I was reading one of my favorite author's book one day and the guy wrote something peculiar about dreams and imagination and almost immediately, an unrelated insight pricked my mind "A proof that we are really a spirit who possess a soul and lives in a body.

After sharing this proof with a friend, he said;

Once upon a time, in a 2000 year old book. There lived two young, boys Esau and Jacob. Esau was a skillful hunter who knows the in and out of the forest. Figuratively speaking, all the animals in the forest were always terrified of him. Jacob, was…well, a cool guy.

Anyway, at the end of the long story, Esau was left but to one blessing from his father - the Entrepreneur's ability. This marked the beginning of his turn around. Mensa Otabil calls this; “the blessing of seeking a change because of discontent”. Eventually, at the "real" end of the story, these two guys became successful in there respect.

But before Esau received the blessing of "Entrepreneur's ability" from his father. One major lesson I've learnt from Esau (a hunter) and Jacob (a cultivator) is summed up in 3 differences.
1. A hunter uses physical strength to produce, but a cultivator uses ideas to produce
2. A hunter hunts after one animal at a time, but a cultivator works with several animals at a time
3. A hunter kills what it hunts first, but a cultivator grows or multiplies what he has first.

So, why was Esau so desperate for food that he willingly sold his birthright to Jacob in exchange for soup? I'm sure you've already seen the answer in the above differences.
